2016 Civic Sedan Images Surface
Patent images of the latest 2016 Honda Civic sedan have surfaced. We have all seen the 2016 Honda Civic Coupe Concept shown below -
The released images also show the civic coupe patent images shown below -
The coupe images look to be close to the concept, despite missing the lower LED fog lights and rear spoiler which will most likely be kept for the SI trim. The sedan, which is set to go on sale this fall before the coupe and future five-door...
Been seeing the 10th gen pictures and articles buzzing the last two days. Looks like a Type R variant will arrive to the USA as well as a turbo Si?
I like the looks of the new ride, even the bright green color. Wonder what the sedan hatch will look like as well as what platform they offer the Type R under, if it covers the three (sedan, coupe, and hatch) or if only one gets it.

Honda Civic Type R 2015 preview: 306bhp and 0-60 in 5.7-seconds
Two figures in particular stand out from the manufacturer's specification sheet: its 306bhp peak power output and a 167mph top speed – but there needs to be substance behind the bare figures and aggressive styling for Honda's latest hot hatch to be taken seriously.
The engine in particular will be a sticking point for some Honda fans, as the first ever Type R model fed via turbocharger rather than natural aspiration. The unit is all-new and displaces 2.0 litres, producing its lofty output at 6500rpm before reaching a 7000rpm red line – where previous Type Rs developed their maximum well into the sevens and eights.
Engine and Performance
The tradeoff, performance-wise at least, is the torque – its 295lb ft output is over double the...
Here It Is Everyone! The Civic Type R Leaked Ahead Of The Geneva Auto Show:

The Type R, when it goes on sale, would be the most extreme Honda ever made. It will be powered by a 2.0 litre direct injection VTEC TURBO engine that will take it to a top speed of 270km/h.
Compared to the normal Civic, the Type R will have vents, grilles, spoilers and skirts that are unique, put on to the car for better downforce, cooling and ventilation, and lower drag.
The Civic Type R will feature Brembo front...
It would appear Honda Australia will clutch defeat from the jaws of victory again with its all-new turbocharged Civic Type-R now not expected until as late as 2017.
The exciting new hot hatch, which motoring.com.au first sampled ahead of the 2013 Tokyo motor show will go on sale in Europe following its production debut at next month's Geneva motor show. But as was the case with the arrival of the current Civic Type-R, Aussie buyers will again have to wait.
Speaking to motoring.com.au at the launch of the new HR-V this week, Honda Australia director Stephen Collins said the first-ever turbocharged Civic Type-R would not arrive until after the NSX.
After a long gestation, Honda stated that its keenly anticipated supercar will land in Australian showrooms in early 2016, meaning the Type-R would now come late in 2016 or possibly as late as early 2017.
"Our first priority is NSX and it certainly won't...

Three 2016 Civic Type R Photos Released
Honda has just released the most recent teaser photos and some information regarding the new Honda Civic Type R. To date they have released a very vague YouTube video, but this evening’s photos and information tells us a lot more about what’s in store.
The manufacturer tells us that extensive aerodynamic computer and wind tunnel testing has led to design enhancements to develop high speed stability and to ensure high levels of downforce. This testing is said to help ensure that the 2.0 liter direct injection VTEC Turbo engine performs to its best ability and we are told that on account of this the car can achieve a top speed of 270 km/h.
The underside of the vehicle is nearly completely flat which...
Is this the 2016 Honda Civic Wearing Camouflage?
The 9th Generation Civic has been on the market since 2012 with countless changes. It was met with mixed media reviews, and in 2013 Honda updated the civic sedan. Honda updated the suspension, interior fit and finish, front and rear bumper changes and even thicker glass for noise reduction. In 2014 Honda updated the Civic coupe with similar updates to match the 2013 sedan. There were also technology upgrades across the board including touch screen radios. The 2014 Civic even saw CVT transmissions as an option. While most Civic models have historically had a mid cycle refresh during a 5 year span, the 9th generation Civic has been almost continuously updated yearly.
Rumors are flying that Honda has pushed the normal 5yr cycle forward, and this is a sneak...
2016 Honda Civic Type R Concept Unveil
The New Civic Type R Concept has been dubbed by the design team as 'a racing car for the road'. The world debut at Geneva Motor Show reveals that the Civic Type R will be the first model in Europe to feature one of the brand new VTEC TURBO engines from the Earth Dreams Technology range.

The New 2.0 Liter Turbo Charged Earth Dreams Engine On Display
The turbo 2.0-liter I-4 is being used in the latest prototype of the upcoming European-market Civic Type R.
The rollout of Earth Dreams technology continues at Honda, which has just revealed details on new direct-injection, turbocharged 1.0-, 1.5-, and 2.0-liter I-4 engines. While the small, three-cylinder 1.0-liter probably won't be the first to be fitted under the hood of a U.S.-spec Honda or Acura, but the Civic, Accord, and ILX are probably on the engine-upgrade list. The turbo 2.0-liter I-4 is being used in the latest prototype of the upcoming European-market Civic Type R.
The turbocharged 1.5-liter I-4 is probably the more volume-oriented variant. The new Earth Dreams powerplant is mechanically related to the turbocharged 1.0-liter I-3 and includes VTEC with "thoroughly reduced friction" and a turbocharged that's...
With the previous EU-spec Civic Type R, you got a naturally aspirated 200 horsepower engine. It was decent, but American Si models offered more for less money, so nobody was missing out. However, come 2015, Honda has gone to a turbocharged solution pushing out 280 to 300 horsepower, easily outpacing the Ford Focus ST and Golf GTI. That sounds like something Americans might want to buy.
According to AutoEvolution's recent report, the new 2-liter turbo belongs to the Earth Dreams family and is also being developed to work on US soil.
That makes perfect sense, considering how many Honda models would work great with a 2-liter turbo. However, the Japanese company is also getting a helping hand from a market that's finally warming up to hatchbacks.
According to motoryracing.com, a US-spec version of the Civic...
UK Customers Wanting Type R Must Pay £3,000 Deposit
Honda has announced that the upcoming Civic Type R can be ordered in the UK, but those who want one must hurry up and place their order.
The automaker says there’s “unprecedented demand” for the new Type R ahead of its 2015 launch, so it has decided that customers must pay a deposit of £3,000 (approximately $4,700) at their local dealer to make sure they get one.
Arriving in the UK dealerships in 2015, the all-new hot-hatch promises to be the most extreme and high-performing Type R in the model’s 22 year history. Developed and engineered for European drivers, the car will be built at Honda’s plant in Swindon, UK.
The new Type R will mark the debut of the new “+R” button, among other features. Located to the side of the steering wheel, a press activates “+R” mode which provides, according to Honda, “the most exhilarating driving experience.” The mode heightens engine responsiveness, changing torque-mapping to a...
